Questions
How accurate is the online price?
It is worked out from the same hours-per-tonne and factor tables our detailers use. After we see your drawings we confirm the price, usually within one working day, and you only proceed if you accept it.
What do I need to send?
The engineer's general arrangement and section drawings, any member schedules and connection details, and the architect's set if there is metalwork. PDF, DWG, DXF and IFC all work.
Which software do you use?
Tekla Structures by default. Advance Steel, SDS2 and 2D AutoCAD are available on request.
Do you design connections?
We detail connections from the engineer's design. Where connection design is needed we flag it in the RFI log and coordinate it with your engineer.
How are revisions handled?
One round of comments is included. Extra rounds are priced as a small percentage of the job hours, shown in the calculator before you order.
How do I pay?
There is no online payment. Accept the confirmed quote, and we invoice on the terms it states.
Can you produce NC files for our machines?
Yes. NC1 (DSTV) and DXF for plate profiling are available as an add-on, checked against the single-part drawings.
